Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust (RB&HFT) is progressing plans to re-provide inpatient respiratory care in a new state-of-the-art medical wing to be located on the southern part of the Sydney Street site. This is in response to pressing clinical needs - current respiratory inpatient facilities are outdated and present many challenges to those delivering care to patients.
These proposals replace previous plans in 2013 for a more comprehensive redevelopment on the Sydney Street site.

The Trust has appointed community engagement specialists Soundings to help with public and stakeholder consultation. The consultation process is facilitated by Soundings to ensure that views from the local community are listened to, and given consideration to, with regards to the emerging plan.
The consultation process will take place from February 2016 through to the autumn of this year.
